Norwich Elephants

2008 August 8

The Born Free Foundation placed several painted sculptures of elephants about the city of Norwich in Norfolk, England as part of a campaign to save elephants. News that one of them had been vandalised was met with the installation of special anti-vandal countermeasures.

Clearly when this relatively gentle method of dissuasion failed, a more drastic hint was required.

But when that failed too, there was nothing for it but to apply the “three strikes and you’re out” approach.

There is a serious side to the campaign, however. http://new.edp24.co.uk/content/news/story.aspx?brand=EDPOnline&category=News&tBrand=edponline&tCategory=news&itemid=NOED19%20Jun%202008%2021%3A40%3A20%3A990
