About This Site

Thanks for visiting today.

What’s New?

I have had to suspend work on both this site and the Headwise Project roll-out due to a major family crisis. I hope to resume this in the future. Please note that in the short-term at least I may also lose Internet access and be unable to approve or respond to comments and e-mails.

I am beginning the roll-out to the new “headwise” website. Please see this page for more information: https://porillion.wordpress.com/headwise-project/

I have now removed the test page. You can visit the new Headwise Project website here: http://www.headwise.org

I am happy to receive constructive comments on the design here: https://porillion.wordpress.com/2011/03/08/test-page-for-the-headwise-site/

What’s on my Blog?

I write about a number of health problems I have. I invite you to share your own experiences and insights. I also try to find and link to news and scientific articles about these. These include:

  • An inability or restricted ability to see with your mind’s eye (“cannot visualise”, “unable to visualise”),
  • A related problem with memory recall,
  • Migraine,
  • Persistent migraine aura and “visual snow”,

How to Contact Me

You can always comment to a post. I moderate all comments so you can always let me know if you don’t want a comment published.

If including a quote in a comment, please make sure to personalise it. Otherwise I may assume it is just spam and not publish it. Akismet, the automatic spam catcher, may also catch non-personalised quotes.

Or you can e-mail me. To do this, including to request a blogroll exchange on my “friends” widget, please contact me at: nospamporillion@hotmail.co.uk Please remove “nospam”! Genuine blogs only! Again, please try to make the subject line of the e-mail personalised.

Please note: I will not publish comments that I believe point to a commercial website, or to any website that I believe may make unsubstantiated claims. I will not read e-mails that I believe are spam.

Copyrights and Other Stuff

In response to a question, “porillion” is an obscure word for “daffodil”.

Please note that I cannot accept responsibility for accuracy of content on websites that I link to from this one. Though I try to use reliable and accurate sources, I am not a scientist. You should always research migraine, visual snow, persistent aura or visualisation yourself. If you think you may have any medical condition, you should always consult your family doctor.

(Last policy change: 2009 November 26) I have used the headline and brief, with accreditation, under the UK copyright law “fair dealing”, “news” exception in the “Migraine Daily News” posts. It is not my intention to breach someone else’s copyright. If you are dissatisfied with my including a headline, main URL, accreditation and two sentence extract with removal after 28 days, please contact me so we can discuss it.

  1. Hi – My apologies for my delay in popping in I have been so busy!

Looking good I will read with interest.

  2. Thank you for your kind comment, Jonathan. My apologies for the delay in replying to your comment. I eventually figured out that there really was no way of directly replying to one! Duh! 🙂
